Wedding cake design inspiration comes from many places. For a summer wedding at the V&A, London, there were many elements to draw on but the one which shone through was the brides beautiful Miraz Willinger gown and veil.
The Dress as inspiration
Elegantly fresh with fine floral detailing, the beauty of the gown was mirrored in a four-tiered cake. Hand-crafted floral decorations directly inspired by the lace embellishments created a synergy between gown and dress.
The flavours
The couple chose an American Funfetti flavour for all four tiers. Playful yet still refined, the feather-light, moist vanilla sponge speckled with sprinkles was paired with a cream cheese frosting, sumptuous white chocolate ganache and finished in appliqué embroideries and ivory Royal Icing.
Wedding styling
Styled with impeccable attention to detail by the wonderful talents of Emma Joy, the V&A looked elegant and graceful. And the floral décor, by Veevers Carter was simply stunning! Green and white chosen for the wedding ceremony and beautiful coral pinks for the reception with accents of blue reminiscent of 17th century Delftware.
It was a privilege to be able to play a part in this beautiful wedding and at such an iconic London venue.
